Registration and submission of works:
  • All participating videos are submitted online, and the maximum length of videos is 3 minutes.

  • Only MP4, WMV, AVI or MOV files are accepted for submission of works.

  • The name of the video file must be set to "(Group code)_(Instrument)_(name of contestant).mp4"

  • (Example: P01_Chan_Tai_Man.mp4 / C01_Chan_Siu_Ming.mp4)

  • All submitted links, files, and documents, if not identified, searched, opened, downloaded or played, will not be processed without notice.

  • Only one video can be uploaded for each application, and the video can be shot with a normal smartphone or camcorder. Please note that it needs to be shot in a quiet environment.

  • At the beginning of the video, the contestant must first clearly introduce the contestant, including the contestant's full name (which can be read in English, Mandarin or Cantonese).

  • The camera must be shot from the front, and the face and upper body of the contestant must be clearly displayed in the clip.

  • The competition video cannot be edited or post-production in any form, otherwise the competition will be disqualified.

Registration and submission method:
  1. Complete the entry video

  2. Contestants should correctly set up the video file and upload it to the online storage space before starting the registration. ( Google drive / Dropbox / Microsoft OneDrive ) and open permissions.

  3. Complete the online form (also fill in the shared link of the uploaded file)

  4. Check and receive the confirmation email after submitting the form and note the entry number

  5. If you cannot receive the registration confirmation email, please check the "spam box". If there is still no confirmation email, the email address may have been entered incorrectly during registration. Please go through the registration process again. If you still have questions, please contact us.

The judging will be based on the performance of the contestants in the following aspects and the overall art performance of recitation:

  • Difficulty of selection

  • Techniques-tone colour, pitch, rhythm

  • Interpretation-style mastery, imagination

  • Musical sense

  • Infectiousness and resonance


Awards and scores
Champion           ------The participants with the first score in each category
1st Runner-up     ------ The second-place participant in each category
2nd Runner-up   ------The third-placed contestant in each category
Gold Award        ------ Participants with 90 points or more
Silver Award       ------ Participants who won 85-89 points
Bronze Award    -------Participants who won 80-84 points
Merit Award         ------ Participants who won 70-79 points
Participation Award---Participants with 69 points or less

Awards:
  • Each group will have one winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up. Gold, silver, bronze, merit, and participation award are not limited.

  • If there are less than five people in the group, only one winner will be set for the group; if there are less than three people in the group, there will be no ranking for the group.

  • If the winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up of each group have not completed the complete competition procedure, the ranking will be considered an omission and will not be made up.

  • The winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up of each group will be determined according to the order of the results of the group. The winner of the group score must reach the gold award, and the first and second runner-up score must reach the silver award or above. If no contestant in the event meets the score requirements, the award will be canceled.

  • Winners of each group can apply for certificates, medals, and trophy according to their individual needs
      Award application fee:
           certificate– HKD$60  (includes one-time local traceable mail or courier fee)

           e-certificate-- HKD$50  (PDF file will be sent by email for non-Hong Kong contestants to choose)

                    Medal -- HKD$100  (includes one-time local traceable or courier fee)d_

                 Trophies-- The styles and application fees of trophies will be announced at the result announcement. Generally, trophies are about HKD$180-$230 (includes one-time local traceable mail or courier fee)

  • Paper-based comments will only be sent or mailed together with the award applied for.

*** If the prize is sent to a non-local mailing address, the entrant will need to pay the relevant additional mailing fee.

***Recipients will not be notified individually before all documents or awards are sent out, so please make sure that the recipient address and contact number can be received normally and contact the recipient at any time.

Special notice:

           In response to the requirements of overseas participants, in order to reduce the cost of overseas mailing, starting from March 31, 2021, the default mailing method in all Asia regions will be changed to "Surface Registered Mail".   • The award application link will be sent out at the same time as the results announcement email. After the winners have paid the payment, they can click the link to complete the online application and upload the payment proof at the same time.

  11. The judges have the final decision on all artistic matters, and no one may object.

  12. After the results of the competition are announced, some of the contestants may upload the video on the competition website, Facebook page or other online platforms.

  13. Once submitted, the entrant agrees that the competition will use the entry in the promotion activities related to the Association, including but not limited to websites, social platforms, publications and public broadcasts, without the need to seek the entrant's consent and pay any additional fees. fee, and reserves the right of final decision on the use of clips.
